Okay, so after waiting a week, (during which I had the scar revision procedure) I finally went in on Monday, August 17th to the office of the doctor known herein as Dr. Roach, who had now had 7 full days in which to contact my cosmetic surgeon, for whatever reason he felt the need to. Needless to say, Dr. Roach had never called me back.
I had resolved to ask Dr. Roach, okay, what is it going to be, will you reimburse me or not? Dr. Roach began babbling about his feeling that before i “gave” (whatever he meant by that) my cosmetic surgeon any money, he would have “preferred” that I talk to him. I explained (once again) that my cosmetic surgeon was actually the one that diagnosed the necrosis, thus he was the one I spoke to first. Dr. Roach then again said that “sometimes” these disfigurements “get better”. This was something that I already knew, since a couple people (out of a thousand) online said that after a year and a half, their injury had “started” to fill in, also, Dr. Roach had already mentioned this possibility to me during our first discussion on August 10th. Then, MUCH TO MY COMPLETE AMAZEMENT, DR. ROACH SUDDENLY PROCLAIMED THAT HE HAD “INJECTED HIS WIFE ” WITH KENALOG IN THE ARM, AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO HER!!! He went on to say, that hers started to fill in after about a year and a half. Why Dr. Roach continued to inject this drug into paying customers after his wife experienced necrosis I have no idea, but I’m sure Dr. Roach could explain it.
Although I was completely flabbergasted at the sheer stupidity I was encountering, I then explained to Dr. Roach, once again, that my injection was given on Oct. 27 2008, and as of Aug. 2009, it was still worsening, and that I did not care to wait another year to see what would happen, especially since I had read online threads with many people saying it gets down to skin and bone and becomes extremely painful. Wearying of this going nowhere conversation (one we had already had a week ago at that), I then asked him point blank if he was going to compensate me and reimburse me for the cost of the repair work or not. Dr. Roach in his infinite wisdom then responded, “no, because stuff happens.“
